West Loop: Now and Then
As one of Chicago’s trendiest neighborhoods, major development has recently been kicked into high gear. In the 1900s, Chicago’s Near West Side was comprised mostly of warehouses, factories and businesses. Eventually, the warehouses were converted into lofts and restaurants, making the West Loop vibrant neighborhood it is today.
Dining Near West Loop

The massive redevelopment bring a new stylish building to the area in the lot that was formerly Harpo Studios, home of The Oprah Winfrey Show.
