With the holiday season behind us, lights and decorations disappearing, and social calendars calming down, January can seem cold, dark, and uneventful. Fortunately for Chicagoans, there’s restaurant week, a bright light in the Chicago winter. Each year Chicago foodies (and really anybody who likes going to restaurants) look forward to restaurant week when over 400 Chicago restaurants will offer multi-course prix fixe menus and specials to diners over the course of 17 days. Here are some of the top places to eat in the Loop during restaurant week!
Atwood-Â 1 W Washington St
Atwood serves all day upscale American cuisine. Diners enjoy the imaginative menu, lively location off State Street, and modern decor juxtaposed with the 19th century historic Reliance building it’s located in. Atwood’s restaurant week menu includes appetizer, entree, and dessert courses for both lunch ($24) and dinner ($36).
Cherry Circle Room-Â 12 S Michigan Ave
This James Beard Award winning concept is located on the second floor of the Chicago Athletic Hotel and is a hidden gem with an old time Chicago ambiance. The three course meal offers a choice of soup or salad, a fish, burger, or chicken entree, and apple tart by pastry chef, Angela Diaz and is available both for lunch ($24) and dinner ($48).
Prime and Provisions-Â 222 N Lasalle St
For a classic steakhouse dinner, satisfying lunch, or a more extensive brunch menu than you could imagine, Prime and Provisions has it all. Choose between the very wide selection of brunch options ($24), a 2 course lunch menu ($24), or a 3 course dinner menu, complete with a starter, entree, side, and dessert ($48) while you enjoy views of the Chicago river and skyline off Wacker Drive.
Restaurant week begins January 24th and runs until February 9th. Click here for a list of all participating restaurants in the Loop.
