In 2017, Vancouver-based developer, Onni Group, delivered phase I of Old Town Park, a 4-phase residential development in Old Town on Division and Wells. Upon completion of the project, the first tower will be the shortest of the four at 32 stories, with state-of-the-art amenities and a $45k per month penthouse that is completely unprecedented in the market with features that easily justify the top dollar price tag.
Onni’s very first Chicago development, The Hudson, was delivered the year prior. With lots of very high quality inventory coming on the market, Onni sets its apartments apart by creating a boutique condo-style environment for renters with high quality, condo-grade finishes, full sized top notch appliances, separate entryways, eat-in kitchens, custom closets, and a high amenity space to resident ratio. This approach proved popular with renters and The Hudson leased up very quickly despite the competitive, high supply market. Old Town Park phase I was no different, as the 405 rental units were absorbed quickly. Renters who prioritize quality of finishes and appliances as well as an overall atmosphere of elegance throughout the building appreciated the thoughtful design of phase I and there’s no reason to think phases II and III won’t be embraced with the same enthusiasm.
Old Town Park phase II is slated for delivery in early 2020 and will include a total of 428 rental units as well as commercial space on the lower level.
In the meantime, ground work recently began for phase III, which will be the tallest of the four towers upon completion. It will house 456 rental units in addition to a 6th floor amenity deck and office space.
