The Loop neighborhood is expecting a new luxury apartment building coming soon! Historically known as Barrister Hall and completed in 1902, 29 S. LaSalle is being revamped as a posh, boutique style apartment building called Millennium on LaSalle. In partnership with Fitzgerald Architects, DLC Residential recently purchased the beautiful 13-story office building and plans to renovate it into the Loop’s newest apartment addition!
DLC Residential, which typically does ground-up construction, appreciated the spectacular existing buildings structure, historical nature and phenomenal location. The goal is to create a new building using the existing shell and impeccable architecture. The apartment will feature 211 apartment dwellings and 5,000 square feet of retail space.
The exterior will feature a steel structure with a limestone and terra cotta exterior. The original building’s exterior will be preserved while the interior is renovated. Marble columns and ceilings will remain as modern finishes, furniture and lighting are incorporated. The combination will give a spectacular feeling of boutique, high-end residential living in the heart of the city.
In a beautiful blend of modern and classic styles, Millennium on LaSalle will feature incredible amenities for residents and guests alike. On warm, sunny days the rooftop pool and landscaped lounge with fireplaces can be enjoyed while taking in the views of the city skyline. The 14th floor amenity floor will also include a bocce ball court, a fitness room and dog run!
