Christkindl Market (The Loop)

The Loop is the place to be if you’re looking to soak in all of the holiday spirit and check all of the holiday events off your list. Beyond the ornately designed rows of lighted trees lining the streets and the familiar names of annual holiday shows on the theater marquees, the holiday events in the Loop seem endless. However, year after year Christkindl Market proves to be a Chicago favorite.

Christkindl Market is held annually at Daley Plaza. Dozens of small wooden houses are set up to resemble 16th century Germany and filled with vendors that include artisan ornaments, handmade candles and soaps, mulled wine (Gluhwein) and spiced cider served in festive souvenir mugs, and traditional German fare. You can also catch live music, dancing, and pop up events in the main dining tent.

Check out this festive market any day through December 24th.
