Plans are in the works for Golub’s new development at 301 S Green Street in downtown Chicago’s West Loop.
The new tower is being designed by architecture firm, Goettesch Partners and will rise 36 stories at 404 feet tall. Unlike many of the surrounding high rise buildings in the Greek Town strip of West Loop, 301 S Green Street will not have any ground level retail space and will be only residential. The building will also offer ample parking and storage for residents.
The composition of the total 362 units will be 135 efficiency units, 155 true one beds, and 72 two beds. 301 S Green Street will also feature high end amenity spaces, consistent with other luxury apartment buildings in the area. Amenities will include lounges, co-working space, a game room, fitness center, dog run, an outdoor terrace, and a south facing rooftop pool on the penthouse floor.
The project still has to go through several phases of approval before there’s any clear timeline for groundbreaking or delivery, but given its prime location, you can bet that 301 S. Green Street will be in high demand. Residents will have convenient access to the CTA blue line, Whole Foods and Mariano’s grocery stores, the farmer’s market and dog park at Mary Bartelme Park, two bus routes, Target, and much more dining, nightlife, retail, coffee shops, and co-working spaces, all within a 10 minute walk.
